From the moment you step into Voco The Bank Rosebank, you’re greeted by friendly staff who create a warm and inviting atmosphere. I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica Redinger, the General Manager, who proudly shared that her team is predominantly female. This girl power energy is evident in the thoughtful feminine touches throughout the hotel’s design.

My staycation with my sister was delightful. We were checked in by the lovely Cynthia and then personally escorted to our room by Jessica. Upon entering, we were greeted by a charming coffee station featuring beautiful Le Creuset mugs. The room also boasted a well-stocked minibar with local ciders, juices, snacks, and even MCC (Methode Cap Classique, South Africa’s sparkling wine).

Since I’m already familiar with Rosebank’s vibrant restaurant scene, I was excited to learn that breakfast was served at Proud Mary Modern Eatery & Wine Bar, located within the mixed-use development. This vibey spot with an international feel did not disappoint. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast before checkout, the perfect ending to a relaxing staycation.
