Parktown North’s Ciro’s Mediterranean Cucina and Gabriella’s Tea Room are collaborating at this year’s Handmade Contemporary Fair, with the introduction of the HmC Café by Ciro.
Taking place this weekend from the 1-3 September, the HmC Café by Ciro will bring delicious farm-to-fork Mediterranean cuisine, and delectable savoury and sweet delights to those attending Africa’s premier artisanal luxury fair at Melrose Arch.
Along with a host of other food artisans, the Handmade Contemporary Fair will also feature over 100 makers showcasing everything from jewellery, accessories and décor to fashion, homeware and cosmetics.
This year, HmC Fair is also part of Melrose Arch’s ‘All White Spring’ Weekend. This means that the precinct will not only feature the Fair but also come alive with activities that attract a larger-than-usual crowd. Activities include:
- The Melrose Gallery presents the three-day SculptX which is an annual sculpture fair, the largest of its kind in South Africa. The gallery is a leading Pan African Contemporary space.
- Daytona’s famous ‘SuperCar Sunday’ – a display of spectacular supercars including Maserati, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche and Ferrari.
Incredible restaurants, delectable cocktails, supercars, art and all things handmade and artisanal await. Come the weekend of 1-3 September, Melrose Arch will certainly be the place to see and be seen in Johannesburg.

Tickets for HmC can still be purchased at www.webtickets.co.za. Day Passes will be R120, and Weekend Passes will be R200. At the door, tickets will be available for R130 per day, with a Partner Discount rate of R90 per day. Children under 18 can attend the fair free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult.
