The new flight schedule includes:
- SA 0192: Departs JNB at 10h45, arrives MRU at 16h45.
- SA 0193: Departs MRU at 17h35, arrives JNB at 20h00.
SAA’s current daily flights are:

- SA 0191: Departs MRU at 16h30, arrives JNB at 18h55.
Carla da Silva, SAA’s GM Sales Marketing Distribution and E-Commerce, expressed the airline’s commitment to meeting the increasing demand for Mauritius travel. “By doubling our daily flights during peak season, we’re providing our customers with more options and a smoother travel experience,” she said.
The travel industry has welcomed the news. Silvana Polo, Operations Manager of Beachcomber Tours, noted the surge in South Africans seeking Mauritius holidays and emphasized the positive impact of the additional flights.
Mladen Lukic, MD of Travel Counsellors South Africa, added that the increased frequency is excellent news for both customers and the travel industry. He also expressed hope that the additional flights would help alleviate flight delays experienced in the past year.
With this strategic move, SAA aims to solidify its position as a leading carrier for travelers heading to Mauritius and contribute to the growth of the tourism sector in the island nation.
