Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is gearing up to relaunch its highly anticipated direct flights between Dar es Salaam and Johannesburg, starting 30 November 2024. This strategic move will see five weekly flights connecting Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) and OR Tambo International Airport (JNB), operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The route will feature the state-of-the-art Boeing 737-9 MAX, renowned for its modern amenities and comfort. Passengers can enjoy a choice of 16 Business Class seats and 165 Economy Class seats, ensuring a premium travel experience.
To mark the occasion, Air Tanzania is rolling out promotional round-trip fares starting at just USD $479. Flights departing from Dar es Salaam will take off at 11:00 EAT, arriving in Johannesburg at 13:15 SAT. Return flights will depart Johannesburg at 14:15 SAT, landing back in Dar es Salaam at 18:30 EAT.
Generous Baggage Allowances
Travelers on this route will benefit from substantial baggage allowances. Economy Class passengers can check in three pieces of luggage, each weighing up to 23kg, while Business Class passengers are entitled to four pieces of the same weight. Additionally, customers can purchase up to eight extra pieces of luggage, offering unparalleled flexibility for those traveling with bulkier loads.
