Egypt is set to unveil its first luxury tourist train in 2027, promising a lavish journey along the Nile River. The aptly named “Guardian of the Nile” will traverse the iconic waterway, connecting Cairo with Aswan.
This opulent rail experience is a joint venture between Cairo National Railways and Italian luxury hospitality company, Arsenale SpA. The project is a strategic move to capitalize on the growing trend of slow travel and offer discerning tourists an unparalleled exploration of Egypt’s rich history and culture.
The luxury train will comprise 15 carriages, accommodating up to 80 passengers in a range of opulent accommodations, from deluxe cabins to lavish suites. The crown jewel will be the exclusive “Honour Suite,” offering an unparalleled level of luxury.
