Egypt to Launch Luxury “Guardian of the Nile” Train in 2027

Egypt is set to unveil its first luxury tourist train in 2027, promising a lavish journey along the Nile River. The aptly named “Guardian of the Nile” will traverse the iconic waterway, connecting Cairo with Aswan.

This opulent rail experience is a joint venture between Cairo National Railways and Italian luxury hospitality company, Arsenale SpA. The project is a strategic move to capitalize on the growing trend of slow travel and offer discerning tourists an unparalleled exploration of Egypt’s rich history and culture.

The luxury train will comprise 15 carriages, accommodating up to 80 passengers in a range of opulent accommodations, from deluxe cabins to lavish suites. The crown jewel will be the exclusive “Honour Suite,” offering an unparalleled level of luxury.

To authentically reflect Egypt’s heritage, the train’s interior design will be meticulously crafted to showcase the country’s cultural and historical richness. Passengers can anticipate a journey steeped in elegance and refinement.

Egyptian Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the train’s potential to blend luxury, elegance, and entertainment for an unforgettable travel experience. The “Guardian of the Nile” is expected to become a flagship for tourism in Egypt, attracting visitors from around the world.

As the launch date approaches, anticipation is building for this extraordinary rail adventure, promising to redefine luxury travel in Egypt.
