Our visit to Premier Hotel Roodevalley couldn’t have been better timed. The city was adorned in the vibrant purple hues of blooming jacaranda trees, setting the stage for a memorable experience. As we left the city behind and ventured down a gravel road, the feeling of escaping into the wilderness for a much-needed break washed over us. Upon arriving at the reception area, with its vineyard-style thatched roof, we were warmly welcomed by the exceptionally friendly staff who promptly escorted us to our room.
The tranquility of the surroundings struck us immediately. The beautiful lake, where we enjoyed watching Kudus while sipping on drinks, provided a sense of serenity that’s hard to find elsewhere. The pristine natural beauty of Roodevalley made it an ideal setting for relaxation and reconnection with nature.
Our room was exceptionally spacious and came with a balcony that opened up to the breathtaking scenery outside. The room exuded an antique charm, which added character to the stay. We were greeted with a thoughtful touch—a delicious bottle of wine and delightful sweet treats. The availability of fast and free Wi-Fi in the rooms ensured we remained connected as needed.
One of the highlights of our stay was the night swim, which allowed us to meet fellow travelers and form new connections. The serene ambiance of the hotel created the perfect environment for socializing and bonding over shared experiences.
Our dining experience at the Our Country Kitchen restaurant was nothing short of delightful. The buffet dinner was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to suit various tastes. This particular evening was made even more special as we watched the Springboks triumph over England in the company of English visitors, creating a unique and memorable bonding experience.
Before saying our farewells to Premier Hotel Roodevalley, we were treated to a remarkable breakfast buffet that left us with a lasting impression of our stay. The buffet was a delightful array of choices, catering to a variety of tastes and preferences. From fresh fruits and pastries to hearty hot dishes and a selection of beverages, it was a satisfying and energizing way to start our day. The breakfast buffet exemplified the hotel’s commitment to providing a comprehensive and enjoyable culinary experience for its guests, ensuring that we left with fond memories and fully prepared for the day ahead.
