The Table Bay Hotel, a prime location near the V&A Waterfront, is set for a dramatic transformation and rebrand as an InterContinental hotel. Recognizing the need for a fresh approach, the hotel will undergo a substantial renovation to elevate its interior design and decor.
A collaborative effort between IHG Hotels & Resorts and the V&A Waterfront will see a significant investment of over R1 billion to create a world-class hospitality destination.
David Green, CEO of V&A Waterfront, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “The Waterfront will invest over R1 billion to transform the existing Table Bay Hotel into an InterContinental. IHG’s global expertise and the powerful IHG One Loyalty program will attract more international visitors to Cape Town.”
The revamped hotel will boast new suites, a rejuvenated spa, and an upgraded pool area. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
